Shoaib Akhtar out of cricket for 5 years

The said announcement was made by PCB Chairman Naseem Ashraf in a Press Conference on Tuesday.
Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, 32, has been banned for five years by a disciplinary committee of the PCB for violating the players’ code of conduct.
Akhtar had appeared before a disciplinary committee in February after being charged with publicly criticising the Pakistan board over the retainership offered to him.
Based on a formula devised by the board, taking into account players’ performance 15 players were awarded contracts, but Shoaib was overlooked. He was, instead, demoted to a retainership, having been awarded a Category A contract last year.
"The board has lost confidence in Shoaib Akhtar and therefore felt that his presence in the field was damaging to the Pakistan team, for Pakistan players and for the image of Pakistan cricket," PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf said.
"The committee has recommended a five-year ban on Shoaib Akhtar. He will be ineligible to play in Pakistan or to play for Pakistan anywhere else in the world.
It is a sad day for me and for Shoaib Akhtar. He is such a talented player, Ashraf noted.
Shoaib was already on two years’ probation for hitting Mohammad Asif with a bat before the start of the World Twenty20 in South Africa in 2007, an offence for which he was fined 3.4 million rupees ($52,000 dollars) and banned for 13 matches, and faced the prospect of a life ban being handed out by the disciplinary committee. Ashraf added that Shoaib had the right to appeal against the decision.
Legspinner Danish Kaneria, also charged with criticising the PCB, was severely reprimanded. Kaneria had criticised his demotion from category "B" to "C" in the central contract in an online column but later blamed a newspaper for publishing his column out of context.
"Since this was Kaneria’s first offence on discipline, he has been severely reprimanded and barred from issuing any press statements," Ashraf pointed.
Replying to a question, Ashraf said that Shoaib Akhtar is free to play any cricket besides International Cricket which is banned for him for next five years.
While giving details of Shoaib Akhtar, Ashraf said that from a period of 2005-07, Akhtar only played 13 test matches out of 32 and took 45 wickets.
While on the other hand Akhtar featured in 14 ODIs out of 51.
Ashraf further said that Shoaib was given warnings on a number of occasion to mend his ways but he continued his off field activities rather than concentrating on cricket.
Responding to a question, PCB Chairman said that PCB Disciplinary Committee found him guilty of multiple clauses of his Central Contract and fined Monetary as well as penalty points which include Fine of Rs 34 Lacs, Penalty Points:5.5, Banned 13 Matches on October 11, 2007 while he stayed back in India after tour without seeking permission from the Board on December 07.
Responding to volleys of questions, Chairman PCB said that after formulation of new Government, he said that he doesn’t know his future adding that it is upto the new Government to decide whether to keep him or change him.

LIsten,i dont know whether PCB have any other work or not,i always saw board have a problem with some other players,if they dont want player in the playing squad,so dont insult them by putting into stupid controversies,sometime discipline or any other thing,
respect the player first then they can do the bang of any of the opposition in the world,
i am a big fan of shoaib akhtar,i always see him when he plays,he is the only one who put 101 percent effort,its out of human thinking,respect him rather than insulting him,
he is the son will not born again again in this world,
He is awesome character.

i hate the politics which is happening in PCB,even in india BCC is so stupid,they play with the players career,being a indian i know very well what is happening here in india,world is with you brother shoaibi allah kareem is with you,dont worry!
